Report

Taplow playing their first match in nearly three weeks started poorly conceding two soft goals within the first 7 minutes and when Woodcote added a third with a scorching 25 yard shot after 15 minutes the game as a contest was over.
Taplow playing into a strong wind found themselves chasing shadows for much of the first half as Woodcote's movement caused havoc. Woodcote's sealed their dominance near the end of the first half as they added a fourth goal.
HT 0-4
Taplow started the second half much better and began to put some pressure on the Woodcote defence, but 2 disappointing defensive lapses allowed Woodcote to seal a comfortable win.
After the match manager Billy Jawandha said, "This was our worst performance since the turn of the year, we looked like a team that hadn't played in 2 weeks and the first two goals were bad mistakes. The biggest difference between the teams was the levels of fitness. Woodcote were a lot fitter and stronger than us today, and a few of my lads need to show up for training more regularly if they wish to continue competing at this level. Despite the result I am pleased with the fact that the lads kept trying and did not give up. We have a couple of important games coming up in the next few weeks and I will expect a significant improvement from everyone"
