Taplow secured a convincing win against their closest rivals Prestwood to clinch the league.
Taplow expected Prestwood to come out looking for the early goals which would give them hope of turning around the goal difference, and the youngsters set out their shape to thwart Prestwoods midfield by putting Dylan Ryan and Matt Newman infront of the defence.
This forced Prestwood wide and frustrated their attacks, but did not lead to a very interesting first half. Oliver Parkinson came closest for Taplow hitting the post with a fine shot.
As the second half drew on Taplow began to open up finally relaxing in the knowledge that the league was now theirs. With 20 minutes left on the clock Tom Wyatt put Taplow ahead cooly firing home after some excellent work by Ryan Barry. Barry then added a second before Matt Newman prodded home a third.
There was still time for Taplow to score the goal of the game breaking quickly from defence Sam Jordan found Dylan Ryan who surged towards goal, and just as everyone expected him to shoot he unselfishly passed across the area for Tom Wyatt to tap home his second and Taplow's fourth.
After the game manager Billy Jawandha said, ''I am very proud of what the boys have achieved not just this season, but over the past few years. They have been the best squad of players that this club has ever had and they thoroughly deserved to win the league this season. They were by far the best team in the division and the most consistent. I know many of them will continue to be successful in senior football and through their careers. Personally I am proud to have been their coach and to see how they have all grown into fine young men''
